Almon Adeluwoye spends her time between London and Copenhagen.
She is an artist and guest curator who specialises in contemporary figurative work and bold landscapes.

Graduated from the University of Arts London – Chelsea Design School, where she combined performance and photography to create public works of art and video installations. These art works appeared on The London Underground, Battersea Art Centre, Debenhams PLC, and Central Middlesex Hospital.

She later combined her love of music and art with stills commissions,
and photographed the late Amy Winehouse, Rhianna, Damian Marley and other musicians.

Almon Adeluwoye enjoyed her role as an Art Director for the BBC and created visual campaigns for the Media, Streaming platforms, TV and Radio shows. She was influence by close frame cinematography and loved the filmic quality of Annie Leibovitz’s photography

After a short spell in the world of fashion shooting for London's high end boutiques, she has dedicated the last few years to her art practice.

"I adore the works of Gustav Glimt and his use of gold and symbolism, and Nan Goldin's intimate honest photography complimented my interest in magnifying those ordinary moments in life. Artists like Kara Walker brilliantly explore race, stereotypes, gender, and identity. My art practice is an exploration of human emotions, and those moments that make up the landscape of contemporary life."

A born and bred Londoner, the backdrop of the city appears frequently in her artworks. Female identity is a strong theme and Almon Adeluwoye's creations are often decorative in appearance but with an underlying question.

She curated the Here and Now showcase for Black British Visual Artists organisation www.blackbritishvisualartists.com
Almon Adeluwoye takes on private commissions and consults on art creation.
